Disposing of Medications

Drug take-back programs – offered by law enforcement, pharmacies, government agencies, and community organizations – are available in some states and communities, as are regularly scheduled drug take-back events. Additional information about such programs is available in the Medication Disposal section of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy AWARxE web site.

The U.S. Food & Drug administration provides useful guidance to consumers on how to properly dispose of unneeded medications. Click here for more information.
